Stochastik-Tage in Leipzig
Posted by Sebi in Mathematik Nov 4th, 2009 | 145 responsesDie Fachgruppe Stochastik der DMV (Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung) plant für die erste Mai-Woche 2010 die Neunten Stochastik-Tage in Leipzig. Erstmals wurden die Stochastik-Tage im Jahre 1993 in Marburg durchgeführt. Seit 1996 gibt es alle zwei Jahre einen neuen Termin.
Zu den Stochastik-Tagen sind Lehrende und Lernende eingeladen. Die Tage werden in einzelne Sektionen gegliedert sein, wie es auch in den Vorjahren bereits der Fall war. In jeder Sektion werden geladene Referenten Vorträge abhalten, über welche dann ausgiebig diskutiert wird. Die Sprecher finden sich aus aller Welt in Leipzig ein. Aus diesem Grund ist die Konferenzsprache auch Englisch.
Natürlich steht nicht nur die Theorie im Vordergrund der Stochastik-Tage. Auch die Praxis wird an diesen Tagen nicht außer Acht gelassen. In Workshops werden das Thema Stochastik und aktuelle Erkenntnisse näher unter die Lupe genommen.
Wer an den Stochastik-Tagen in Leipzig im Mai 2010 teilnehmen möchte, sollte sich bis zum 1. Dezember 2009 bei der Universität Leipzig im Mathematischen Institut anmelden.
