Das könnte unter anderem auch Grund dafür sein, dass es in dieser blühenden Stadt über 3.000 Restaurants gibt. Viele gastronomische Trends wurden hier bereits von den Starköchen entwickelt. Dafür wurden zum Beispiel im „The Age Good Food Guide 2010“ verschiedene Auszeichnungen verliehen.
Wer kulinarisch auf seine Kosten kommen möchte im Urlaub, der sollte unbedingt Melbourne anvisieren. Gaumenfreuden der nationalen und internationalen Küche gilt es hier zu entdecken. Neuester Trend geht in Richtung Dessert-Restaurants. Hier kann man sich die leckersten Desserts schmecken lassen.
